We have used these batteries a few times and recharged them equally as many times. These are not true D batteries. From the weight (very light) you can tell they are a AA or AAA inside the larger body. Unfortunately that means they don't hold the life of a larger cell battery. Expect them to last 1/2 as long as a non-rechargeable battery. Until they improve the quality I'll complain but still use them as we still save a lot of money and help reduce battery disposal and production.

Energizer rechargeable batteries are the BEST! I have easily saved literally hundreds of dollars by using rechargeables. I was skeptical at first, thinking that rechargeable batteries would not be as good, or not last as long as traditional batteries - or that you would not be able to recharge them very many times. I am happy to say I couldn't have been more wrong! I do recommend, however, that you invest in a rapid smart charger. My experience with the Energizer brand charger is that is simply that it takes way too long to charge. I HIGHLY recommend using rechargeable batteries, and the Energizer brand is high quality, long lasting, and dependable.
Batteries are expensive! My son is a police officer and always needs a flashlight and can ill afford to have batteries go out on him. We keep a rotation of flashlights with freshly charged batteries on hand. I too use flashlights and many other devices that use batteries and was getting tired of paying a high cost for them. I have been using Energizer rechargeable batteries for years and will continue to do so. As an Ebay seller I take lots of pictures which eats up batteries, I just swap out my AA and recharge them and ready to go. I keep back up batteries charged for everything I have. Running out of batteries late on a weekend and going to a gas station to pay 15 dollars for 2 d batteries hurt! My only complaint is all the neighbors know I have them and come to me when they need batteries in a pinch. I have read one complaint that said they do not last long, In all the batteries I have used, I have not found this to be the case. But if it is, that is why I have back ups. It is by far less expensive to buy batteries this way!Read full review
I purchased this 6-pack for use in 2 items: my USGI angled flashlight and Coleman camping lantern. Installed them right out of the package and worked just fine. They are lighter in weight compared to the "regular" non-rechargeable batteries I replaced. Have a flashlight or lantern (or other)? Get these!!
